What equipment does my child need?

Official flag belts, footballs, and all game equipment are provided for every player. We recommend football gloves, a mouthpiece, and a flag football helmet - these are optional but great for comfort and safety.

All games are played on ComEd Recreation Center's outdoor turf fields - premier, professional-grade surfaces built for speed and safety. Full stadium-style lighting for Friday night games. Address: 1434 S. Loomis Street, Chicago, IL 60608.

The season runs every Friday night through May 29, 2026. Games are 45 minutes, between 6 PM and 9 PM, until we crown champions for each division.

Games are 45 minutes each and are played between 6 PM and 9 PM every Friday night at ComEd Recreation Center. Your division's specific game time will be shared once the schedule is set before the season.

Yes! Trained referees are on every field to keep games fair, organized, and running smoothly from kickoff to the final whistle.

We play rain or shine on ComEd's outdoor turf fields. The only exception is lightning in the immediate area.

What skills will my child develop?

Athletes develop catching and route running, flag pulling technique, footwork and agility, and football IQ including play recognition and strategic decision making. Our structured training covers fundamentals for all skill levels.

Is there a girls league?

Yes! All main flag football divisions (6U-14U) are co-ed - boys and girls play together. CBA also has a dedicated High School Girls Flag Football league with JV and Varsity divisions.

Are there any awards at the end of the season?

Absolutely! We hold an end-of-season awards ceremony where we crown champions for each division along with team trophies and a celebration of every athlete's hard work.

How much does registration cost?

Fall 2026 registration is $200 per player for the full season, whether registering individually or with a team. It covers equipment, field access, referees, and the end-of-season celebration.

Do I need to form a team or can my child sign up individually?

Both! You can register as a team with a team manager, or sign up your child individually and we'll place them on a team.

What are the age divisions?

We have five co-ed divisions: 6U (ages 6-7), 8U (ages 7-8), 10U (ages 9-10), 12U (ages 11-12), and 14U (ages 13-14). All divisions are boys and girls together.

Are tryouts required?

No tryouts. Every kid who registers plays - no one sits on the bench. CBA is about development, competition, and making sure every athlete gets on the field.

Is there a jersey or uniform provided?

Uniforms are provided. You'll select a uniform size (Youth or Adult) when you sign up so your athlete is game-ready from day one.

How do I pay for registration?

We accept credit and debit cards through our secure online payment system, as well as Venmo and Zelle. Note: a 3% transaction fee applies to credit card and Venmo payments. Paying via Zelle has no additional transaction fee.
